MAKING THE WORLD LESS BAD …

ONE PODCAST AT A TIME

ABOUT ME

I'm an endlessly curious journalist and dedicated-to-the-craft podcast producer, trying to live up to my childhood nickname -- pochemuckha.

I got my start in radio as a First Voice Media Apprentice at KPFA in Berkeley, CA, where I produced, reported, and hosted cultural affairs radio magazine, Full Circle. I was an intern with public radio legends The Kitchen Sisters, and freelanced for public radio and podcast outlets in the San Francisco Bay Area and Washington DC — places like KALW, Panoply, and Stitcher.

I landed my first newsroom gig at PBS NewsHour, where I produced some of the things I’m most proud of, like Broken Justice, a podcast about America’s broken public defense system. And I contributed to the NewsHour’s Peabody award-winning coverage of the January 6th insurrection.

Now I work for ABC News , where I write, produce, and develop podcasts . I do longform, narrative series and day-of news segments for our daily podcast Start Here. I also write and produce specials for Start Here, like On the Brink , " a Murrow award-winning episode about women who faced life-threatening delays to healthcare because of abortion restrictions in their states, "Divert the Policeabout mental health policing in the San Francisco Bay Area, and "Mother Tongue/ родной язык about Russian Americans’ reaction to the war in Ukraine, which won an inaugural Signal Award for Best Writing, Listener’s Choice.

MY PODCAST PHILOSOPHY

I’m always looking for ways to reveal the truth about the world through sound.
